Better late than never, right?
We did a couple of fun things last week, so I wanted to share some pictures and commentary… even if it all feels like ancient history now.
We visited our local Zoo for the first time (I know–I can’t believe it took us this long to get there either!) with all of Goose’s Lady Friends. Here they are gathered on a tiger. Oh, and that’s one of Mommy Goose’s good friends at the end, making sure they don’t fall off!
The Zoo was a pretty big hit with Goose. He was especially fond of the snakes and the turtles. And a huge fake cow.
Last Friday, we visited our local Firehouse with one of our playgroups. It was a blast! The kids got to go inside a fire truck, and we all toured the firehouse–we saw where they sleep and eat and hang out. And Mommy Goose rolled up her baking sleeves for the first time in a long time and made them a batch of brownies as a thank you. With 25 crazy kids to deal with, they deserved it!
Here’s Goose getting comfy in the fire truck (and that’s a pretty cute firefighter by his side!).
On Saturday, the Geek took Goose to see a Sesame Street show with his godchild and her Dad. We think the Godchild enjoyed herself more than Goose, since she actually paid attention. Goose announced “All done. All done” soon after the second act started. That’s Goose-speak for “Let’s get out of here!”
Gotta love the expression on Goose’s face! Is watching Elmo really that tortuous? Still, he made it through the whole show.

lots of great photos here. my kiddo is at the zoo with his grandmama today!
